The Creative Economy Initiative is a collaborative effort aimed at leveraging arts, culture, and creativity to drive economic growth and community development.
Working with community organizers and strategic partners to bridge the gap for the Creatives between the education to workforce pipeline. Intersecting Arts-Integrated Entrepreneurship with Advocacy, we have curated a pilot program to launch through any city to create well being and economic growth. We create opportunities to reinvest into our Creative Economy and create secular relationships for economy development.
Goals and Objectives
The Creative Economy Initiative aims to:
Economic Value of Creativity: Recognizing the economic potential of artists, cultural workers, and creative enterprises. This involves leveraging creative skills in sectors like technology, education, healthcare, and local economies. It views artists as essential contributors not only to culture but also to the workforce and economic vitality.
Health and Well-being: The 2024 focus emphasizes the therapeutic benefits of the arts, advocating for creative practices to be embedded in public health strategies, mental health services, and community wellness initiatives. Artists and cultural workers are seen as 'second responders,' playing a role in community recovery and resilience.
Education and Workforce Development: There is a strong push toward integrating arts and creative skills into the education-to-workforce pipeline. This ensures that young people are prepared for careers in the creative industries and that the creative economy is sustainable long-term.
Cultural Equity and Social Justice: In 2024, the Creative Economy also focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by addressing cultural representation, ownership, and accessibility in creative industries. This involves creating opportunities for underrepresented groups and ensuring that the benefits of creative work are shared across all communities.
Creative Industries: Sectors like film, music, fashion, design, digital media, architecture, and the arts are increasingly integrated into broader economic development strategies, recognizing their role in innovation and job creation.
